Krasnoyarsk ensemble “KrasA” took part in the annual international festival “Suradzhkund Mela”

Folk-ensembles from 23 countries participated in the festival. They acquainted locals and guests of the city with national traditions, folk songs, music and dances. The state Ensemble of Krasnoyarsk Regional philharmonic “KrasA” headed by Anatoly Khlopkov participated in the festival from 1 to 7 of February. They sang traditional Cossack and Russian national songs on the open venues of the festival.
“Every day we gave two concerts. Locals are really interested in Russian culture and they hold in respect to Russian people, - said the soloist of ensemble Irina Shulgina, - The festival united people of different nationalities - Maldivians, Kyrgyz, Indians and Russians. Music, dance, song, national craft were weaved together in this really magic place where you wish to come back again and again”.
Ensemble has become an honorable participant of the concert organized for the Government of the Haryana State and performed in the cultural center of Embassy of the Russian Federation in Republic of India. Record of that performance will be included into the presentation about Embassy of the Russian Federation in India.
It will be recalled that 15 soloists of ensemble “KrasA”and two masters of arts and crafts were a part of delegation from Russia. Works of Valentina Mezhova (Krasnoyarsk) and Elena Vopilova (Divnogorsk), toys and souvenirs made of fabric, wood, beads and other materials, were very popular among participants and visitors of the festival.
“Suradzhkund Mela” is international festival of crafts with 30-year history. It is organized by the Government of the Haryana State and held from 1 to 15 of February in Suradzhkund, which is in 15 km from Delhi. That tour was organized with assistance of Embassy of Republic of India in Russia, International and Regional Cultural Affairs Center of the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region.
