Krasnoyarsk audience pleased by atmospheric and romantic films

The French Films Week ended on 13th October, 2015. During six days, viewers had an opportunity to watch French films made in 2012-2013 by young directors.
The French Film Week of 2015 had not a specific theme. There were presented five drama films and one comedy that based on real stories. All they are nominees of the national film award of France the “César Award”. One of them, “La vie domestique” by Isabelle Czajka was included in special show of XXXVII Moscow film festival in 2015.
The French Film Week started with a movie “Jappeloup”, the most appreciated by Krasnoyarsk’s audience. The idea of big-hearted characters that believes in themselves touched viewers. This is how people are describing their feelings about “Jappeloup” in social networks: “This is an incredible story! I watched whole film at one breath”, “Today was the opening of The French Film Week! Everything there was amazing! Thanks to the Dom Kino!”.
The Week opened by a guest of the festival Irina Yatsinevich, a director of Alliance Française-Novosibirsk. She thanked everyone for interest in French films and language and wished a further development of this event for organizators of festival. Then guests of the festival watched musical and dance performances. During the festival a hall of the Dom Kino cinema was decorated with paintings of Elena Lukyanchuk.
Historical drama “Michael Kohlhaas“ directed by Arnaud des Pallières touched viewers’ feelings. Yana Kukerova, a manager of the Artistic Fencing School: “This is an historical accurate film, very atmospheric. How given Germany of 16th century is very close to a real history: authentic clothes, weapon and manners. This film gives a memorable picture of the Middle Ages with its aspects of relationship and lifestyle.”. “Michael Kohlhaas“ had thirteen nominations at Festival de Cannes in 2013 and it won two “César” awards.
The last film showed during the festival was “Chroniques d'une cour de récré” by Brahim Fritah. It is a film about ten year-old boy who lives in a poor industrial block. Film gave many positive emotions to viewers. Sergei Forostovskiy, an artist: 'I watched it with pleasure. It is a very kind film that gives emotions. I remember my childhood and significant film of that time “Generals of sand dunes”.
For many years french films remain be delicate, bright, sensuous, ironic and romantic as always. It makes people feel, think, hear themselves. That is why audience likes it.
After The French Film Week has finished in Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk hosted this festival. Next time Krasnoyarsk will run it in a spring of 2016.
